Stone Choral Society returns to its roots with a powerful revival of Stone Circles, the work originally commissioned for the Choir’s 30th anniversary in 1998.
Stone Circles
Set to be performed in the striking new Crown Wharf Theatre on the original Joules Brewery site, this dramatic fusion of music and storytelling – accompanied by the brilliant brass band, Acceler8 – explores the rich, contrasting histories of Stone: from sacred struggles like the stoning of Father Barberi and Catholic emancipation, to the vibrant life of the canal, brewery and local communities. Drawing on real stories from Choir members, Stone Circles is a heartfelt tribute to the spirit, resilience and humour that define the town.
