D Day 80 Beacon Lighting
Join us as part of the international commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the D Day Landings on the five beaches of Normandy on 6 June 1944.

Along with other communities throughout the UK, we will be lighting a beacon on the bowling green, with its flames representing the 'light of peace' that emerged from the dreadful darkness of the war.
Live entertainment around the bowling green from 6pm including local singers, dancers, poets. Stafford Military Wives Choir and Stafford Brigades Youth Band.
Official Beacon Lighting Ceremony from 9pm.
UK's number one mobile operator in the National Fish and Chip Awards 2024, Jo Jo's Fish and Chips will be serving all evening.
Albert's Café open until 9.30pm.
