Have you ever wondered what lies behind the 'private' signs?

Discover the what goes on behind closed doors with Shugborough's house and collections team, including important conservation works on the mansion and collection.

Have exclusive access to areas of the mansion which are not usually open to visitors, including the state bedroom and basement.

These tours take place from 2pm until 3pm on Wednesdays, beginning 15th May running through to 11th September.

Tickets £10 per person. Booking is essential, however please check on the day as there may be unsold tickets available.

Children must be supervised. Families welcome. Please head to visitor reception on arrival. The tour starts from the Mansion Portico.

The mansion 1 mile from the car park, there is a buggy service available, which runs from the visitor reception to the midden yard. This tour takes place across multiple floors of the mansion, including attic spaces and the basement. There is no lift and multiple stairs. During part of the tour you will need to wear a hard hat (provided). This tour lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes approximately.
