A Three Thing Day by Ben Moor
A comedy concerning affinity, vertigo and bad phone reception.
Have you ever had one of those full days where you have something in the morning, something else in the afternoon, and yet another thing in the evening?
Ben has the opening of his new work later – A Periodic Table of The Elephants in the Room – but before that he has to do a spot of babysitting, and before that there’s a funeral.
A single day can encompass the past, present and future; friends, family and work; the ridiculous, the moving and the inspirational. Like life.
There’s talk of scones and sconces, hammerhead spaniels, the wool cycle, and gullibility; it’s a story that’s dense with one-liners and jokes that are often daft and occasionally baffling, intricate flights of whimsy, and surreal ideas and imagery.
Ben Moor has been producing oddball storytelling shows for over 30 years. He is the creator of Elastic Planet and Undone for BBC Radio, and has appeared in Knowing Me, Knowing You, The IT Crowd and The Queen’s Gambit.
