Mill Meece Pumping Station

Take a step back in time and experience the sight, sound and smell of two powerful steam engines.

Mill Meece Pumping Station

Mill Meece Pumping Station has supplied water to the communities of Stoke and Newcastle since 1914. The Gentle Giants were replaced by electric pumps in 1979, but these horizontal steam engines have been preserved for your enjoyment. Also come along and enjoy one of many rally events held in the grounds of the station.

Open for static viewing most Sundays 11am to 4pm. Free entry.

Refreshments in steam, picnic area. Disabled access and toilets. Sorry no dogs allowed in buildings.
