Church Eaton Cricket Club is a thriving, community-focused cricket club located in the beautiful rural surroundings of Staffordshire. Steeped in history and driven by a passion for the sport, we provide opportunities for cricketers of all ages and abilities, while also serving as a vibrant social hub for the local community.

Cricket for All
We run a senior men’s team competing in the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship, offering players the chance to enjoy competitive league cricket in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our matches take place on Saturdays throughout the summer, and we also host friendly and social fixtures, ensuring that cricket remains accessible to those who prefer a more relaxed game.

In addition, we are expanding our club’s reach by launching an ECB All Stars Cricket programme, aimed at introducing young children to the sport and fostering the next generation of players. Our training sessions and matches take place on our picturesque village ground, which provides a fantastic setting for both playing and spectating.

A Social Hub for the Community
Beyond cricket, Church Eaton Cricket Club is a key part of the local community. We have a fully licensed bar, offering a relaxed space for players, members, and visitors to enjoy a drink while watching the game. Whether you're enjoying a cold beer after a match, catching up with friends, or celebrating a victory, our bar provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We also host a range of events throughout the year, including quiz nights, fundraisers, and our popular Elvis tribute night. These events not only bring the community together but also help raise funds to support the club’s ongoing development.

Supporting the Local Community – Men’s Shed
As part of our commitment to community engagement, we are proud to host a Men’s Shed group at the club. This initiative provides a welcoming space where men can come together to work on practical projects, share skills, and enjoy camaraderie. The Men’s Shed plays a key role in maintaining and improving club facilities, from refurbishing benches to undertaking essential repairs around the ground.

This project is particularly beneficial for mental well-being, offering members a supportive environment to socialize, stay active, and engage in meaningful work. It aligns perfectly with the club’s ethos of inclusivity and community spirit.
